1. AL-Queda

AL-Queda means ‘The Base’. It founded in 1998 by the Osama Bin Laden, Abdullah Azzam and by other militants. The main goal of this group is to unite the Muslims groups across the world in global jihad and Strict interpretation of the Sharia law. The most dangerous attack of this group was 1998 U.S embassy bombing, the September 11 attacks or 2002 Bali Bombings. After September 11 attack U.S government respond and launching the ‘war on terror’ with the loss of key leader, culminating in the death of Osama Bin Laden.

The main thing of this group is suicide attacks and continuous bombing on different target. Since the death of Laden the group has been led by the Ayman al-Zawahiri. The Ashoura massacre and the April 2007 Baghdad bombings are testimony to that fact. The 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center was also carried out by al-Qaeda. They are known to be extremely influential and have been alleged to own several aircrafts including Boeing 727s and executive jets.

2. ISIS

ISIS stands for Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. State of Iraq and Syria has just recently claimed to carry out attacks in Brussels, Belgium killing hundreds of people. This group has been carrying out various such attacks, throughout in world. The group first referring to itself as Islamic state in June 2014 when it proclaimed itself in worldwide caliphate and named Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as it caliph. This one  of the biggest terrorist group in world consist of 80,000 individual, ISIS is carrying out several inhuman terror activities like the indiscriminate killing of innocent civilians.

In 2015 this group has control over vast landlocked territory in Iraq and Syria, that population approximately 2.8 million to 8 million. ISIS has control over small area like Libya, Nigeria and Afghanistan and operate in other part of world including South Asia or other also. Over 60 country waging war against ISIS in direct or indirect way. ISIS is widely known for its video after beheading of soldier and civilians. Their recent various actions have prompted by USA, UK, Germany and many other countries to launch various operations aimed at infiltrating their ranks and combating their growing insurgence.

3. Taliban

Taliban is Islamic Political movement in Afghanistan currently waging war within that country. The main activity of this group is drug trafficking to human trafficking, extortion etc. Taliban is one the wealthy terrorist group in world, its annual revenue of almost $400 million. The current leader of Taliban is Hibatullah Akhundzada. Taliban emerged in 1994 as one of the most prominent faction in the Afghan Civil war and this group largely consist of student or those trained in Madrassas in Pakistan.

Taliban most dangerous attack was in 2001 September on the twin tower of the world trade center in New York. The Taliban was mobilized by USA in order to liberate Afghanistan from the clutches of the Soviet Union.

4. Lashkar-E-Taiba

Lashkar-E-Taiba is one of the largest and most active terrorist organization in South Asia operating from Pakistan. In this organization has more than 50,000 members. It founded in 1987 by Hafiz Saeed, Abdullah Azzam in Afghanistan with funding from Laden. It widely known for attack 26/11/2008 Mumbai attack in India. The 2001 attack on Parliament of India was carried out by this same group. They have also known as use children those have  age only 13 to 14 to improvised sections of the society to spread their terrorist  activity. The most dangerous attack of this group is bombing is Delhi, bombing in Varanasi, the Mumbai train bombing and various attacks also carried out by this group.

5. Hezbollah

Hezbollah is Islamist militant group and political party based in Lebanon. It is group of strong Muslim activism that emerged in 1982. After that this group carried various terrorist attacks like the London Israeli Embassy attack in 1994, the AC flight 901 attack in 1994 in Panama and many more attacks. The terrorist found their strength through their various representatives working at high ranks in the cabinet of the Lebanese government.

In past few year the group has gone off the focus of media due to the decrease in their terrorist activities. Hezbollah and Israel fought each other in the 2006 Lebanon war. Its leader are follower of   Ayatollah Khomeini and its force were trained and organized by contingent of 1500 revolutionary guard that arrived from Iran with permission from Syrian Government which was in occupation of  Lebanon at the time.
