The Security Concerns in DropBox.

DropBox is file hosting service which is operated by American company DropBox and its headquarters in San Francisco,California.DropBox  measure service is cloud storage thats very helpful to the user as well as it is use in bigger company those have large database and hardly to manage the data.

But their is bad news to the DropBox user,because the DropBox is hacked by hacker and they get 68 Million account details & leaked online.DropBox has confirmed the breach and already alert the user of a potential forced password reset through the initial announcement failed to spicfy the how much number of user is affected.

But their is some good news also out of 68 millions ,32 million user details is secured by using strong hashing function 'BCRYPT'.Its make difficult to hacker to get the actual password of user.This type of hashing function increase the strengt of password by adding salt-a random string to the hashing process.

DropBox initially reveal the data breach in 2012 notifying user that one of its employee password is acquired  and use to access the file by using user email address but they reveal the hacker were able to steal password too.But the news is coming in earlier this they alert the user by sending emails that large number of user credential was leaked in 2012 data breach that may soon be seen on dark web marketplace and suggest the user change the password if they didn't since 2012.

How to secure

Immediately change your dropbox password and other account also if the password is same.Also use good password manager that make password more complex for different  account also remember them.
